Las Élites de la Ciudad Blanca is a work that unveils the racial and class dynamics established in the everyday life of the traditional elites of Mérida-Yucatán. Through a complete methodological and anthropological strategy, it identifies the codes and spaces used by the traditional families to reinforce their discourses, their social and economic position, on the other hand, it also interacts with the discourses and media of the region in order to show the conceptions constructed about the Mayan people and the indigenous communities. A valuable contribution to Mexican anthropology that also reinforces the recognition of the power relations that are established in the everyday life of societies built on inequalities
