Resumo

This project is about cultural images of femininity and masculinity in soap opera and horror movies. For many youths today these genres constitute an important part of the material used in their identity work. Despite the fact that soap opera is associated with femininity and horror movies with masculinity, there is an increasing number of young men watching soaps and many young women are horror cineastes. These youths have an ironic attitude towards traditional perspectives on gender.
