Resumo
This chapter explores the Jamesian theory of emotion, arguing that emotions are not simply feelings but rather interpretations of physiological changes in the body. Solomon uses the example of anger to illustrate this point, drawing on anthropological examples to demonstrate how cultural context shapes the experience and expression of emotion. He argues that the Jamesian theory offers a valuable framework for understanding the complex interplay between biology, culture, and individual experience in the construction of emotion.
