This paper, along with its preceding counterpart, provides a systematic review of the burgeoning geographical research on the 'neoliberalization of nature.' Predominantly authored by critical geographers, this literature largely comprises case studies focusing on diverse biophysical phenomena across the globe. In an effort to synthesize existing knowledge and identify future research avenues, these two papers survey the literature from theoretical and empirical, as well as cognitive and normative perspectives. Specifically, they seek to analyze the critical literature on nature's neoliberalization by addressing four key questions: (1) Why are various nonhuman phenomena worldwide being 'neoliberalized'? (2) How is nature neoliberalized in practice? (3) What are the effects of nature's neoliberalization? and (4) How should these effects be evaluated? Without such synthesis, this body of work risks remaining a collection of disparate case studies, unified only by their shared focus on 'neoliberal' policies. This paper addresses questions 2, 3, and 4, while the preceding paper focused on the first. The authors argue that unresolved issues within the existing literature hinder readers and future researchers from drawing broader conclusions about the processes, effects, and evaluations of nature's neoliberalization. This is not a flaw of the literature, but rather a reflection of its nascent stage and the evolutionary trajectory of its constituent parts. The paper emphasizes the need for careful attention to these issues in future research to clarify the general implications of the literature on nature's neoliberalization. While the previous paper identified some 'signals in the noise' regarding question 1, this paper suggests that further research is needed on questions 2 to 4 to discern any clear patterns
