This article explores the artistic expressions of Chicana artists, focusing on their navigation of the borderlands, both physical and metaphorical, as a space of creativity and resistance. Anzaldua uses the concept of "nepantla," a Nahuatl term signifying the in-between space, to describe the liminal experience of Chicanas who negotiate multiple cultural identities. The article highlights how these artists challenge traditional artistic conventions and utilize their art to express their experiences of living in a state of "in-betweenness," grappling with issues of identity, gender, and cultural hybridity. Through their work, they reclaim agency and create a space for dialogue and self-definition within the dominant cultural narratives
