Resumo
This preliminary report presents the findings of research conducted by the author in 1958, under the patronage of the Brazilian Center for Educational Research and the National Campaign against Illiteracy, organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The research explores industrial relations within two Brazilian communities. Data collection involved interviews, statistics, and document analysis, with assistance from Dr. Carolina Martuscelli Bori of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of the University of São Paulo, Maria Amelia Azevedo and Eva Alterman, students of the same Faculty, and Ralph Eisenhauer, a student at the São Paulo School of Business Administration of the Getulio Vargas Foundation.
