This study is a pilot survey of the psychological world of a sample of Africans living in urban areas of Durban and Johannesburg. The sample includes Africans drawn from a variety of levels of education (from the completely illiterate to university undergraduates), from the completely urban-living to those who have spent but a short while in the town, from both sexes, and from a wide range of age groups
