The following article constitutes an original proposal in the present debate on the " problematic of consciousness While the earlier studies (Popitz, Bahrdt, 1955) related the working situation to the forms of working class consciousness, the authors here try to define consciousness phenomena from the notion of the relative autonomy of " models of interpretation ". In a certain way, the latter would be " theories " (of daily practice) by which social groups and social classes interpret reality
