The songs of the Todas, a small Dravidian-speaking community of the Nilgiri plateau in South India, have by this time been reported on twice, and an attempt has been made (in the second report) at a sociological interpretation. Preparation of a corpus of 260 texts for publication has involved indexing, and it is now possible to undertake a stylistic analysis
