L'A. etudie l'impact de l'œuvre de Rene Dumont sur le mouvement ecologiste en France. Il examine de quelle maniere ce dernier a contribue a la politisation de l'ecologie dans ce pays. Il s'efforce de mettre en lumiere les caracteristiques de la perspective developpee par Dumont en matiere d'ecologie. Il evalue l'influence de R. Dumont au sein des differentes composantes du mouvement ecologiste en France. Il montre que celui-ci constitue une des sources d'inspiration politique majeure dans ce mouvement
