Gatherings in protest are also occasions for the socialization of the body politic, moments when principles for living together among strangers are put on display. In what follows, I will treat images of protest for their principles of assemblage and exclusion. The power to still social life gives it in the same breath. Each protest is a gesture of arrest that unleashes its own kinesthetic
