O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar um recorte temático da etnografia que realizei durante o ano de 2013 na Praça Universitária, em Goiânia/GO. A problemática que abordo envolve a questão da violência urbana presente em episódios que marcaram as sociabilidades juvenis que foram o foco do meu trabalho de campo. Orientado por uma bibliografia ligada à Antropologia Urbana, apresento um panorama geral das sociabilidades pesquisadas (que envolviam entre 2000 a 3000 indivíduos todas as sextas-feiras, no período da noite), motivadas por ondas de boicote a um projeto cultural da Prefeitura de Goiânia, o Chorinho - dinâmica que será melhor explorada no desenvolvimento do trabalho. A ideia central aqui é pensar as relações entre sociabilidades/lazer e sentimento de medo/insegurança em contextos urbanos - e de modo especial no caso goianiense -, indissociáveis nos discursos e no cotidiano de meus e minhas interlocutores/as.Palavras-chave: Praças. Insegurança.Among leisure, scoabilities and unsafeness - interpretations on Praça Universitária, in Goiânia/GOAbstractThe aim of this paper is to present a thematic focus of the ethnography I conducted during the year 2013 at Praça Universitária, in Goiânia, Goiás. The problem I approach involves the issue of urban violence present in episodes that marked the young sociability that were the focus of my fieldwork. Guided by a bibliography linked to Urban Anthropology, I will present a general overview of the surveyed sociability (involving between 2000-3000 individuals all Fridays during the night), driven by waves of boycott of a cultural project of the Prefecture of Goiânia, the Chorinho - dynamics that will be further explored in the development work. The central idea here is to think about the relationship between sociability / leisure and sense of fear / unsafeness in urban contexts - and especially in the case of Goiãnia - inseparable in speeches and in my interlocutors' daily life.Keywords: Squares.
