O ensaio apresenta algumas premonições de Jean Rouch - questões elaboradas pelo autor que antecedem em décadas problematizações antropológicas contemporâneas; alguns pontos de contato entre seu cinema antropológico e uma antropologia do sensível; e a história de uma sacola que revela um caso particular de apropriação das ideias rouchianas.
