PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Gramsci, Arendt, política, ação, regulação THE PUBLIC SPACE NOTION IN HANNA ARENDT The article puts forward the hypothesis that the ideas expressed by Antonio Gramsci and Hannah Arendt on political actions can come closer, emphasizing issues related to subject, conditionings and the historic achievement of action. It tries to demonstrate that the two authors, despite their different theoretical starting points, converge at a refined perception, both transforming and realistic, in terms of possibilities and limits of action, and also the scientific and/or political intentions of comprehension and control in the contemporaneous world. Besides that, it suggests that the referred convergence does not make the two thinkers incompatible with their respective philosophical references. Instead, it suggests fertile ways for the creative appropriation of Marx and Kant to overcome conceptual abysses and dogmatic attitudes.
