Analyzing his itinerary and his "look", we will look for the different rhythms, speeds, and specificities of this metropolis located in the Amazon of Maranhão. Based on a Simmelian theoretical-methodological approach, we seek to try the relationship between sociability processes and photographic production, emphasizing the notions of form, content and problematizing the bias towards the challenges in local research. Following this orientation, we produced an ethnography based on the lived stories, paying special attention to the connections between aspects of the photographer's biography and an insertion in a peripheral neighborhood called CAEMA.Keywords: Urban photography.
