A paisagem típica nacional é um referência importante da construção da identidade nacional. Porém, há vivencias específicas, que consideradas não simplesmente como relação com paisagem, mas como participação em um mundo em movimento, um clima-mundo (weather-world), podem contribuir para a compreensão da busca de afirmação de especificidades regionais em meio a um mundo bastante globalizado. Analiso tais questões a partir de uma situação particular, a ocorrência de neve na Serra Catarinense, interpretada pela mídia nacional como uma paisagem exótica, e o as vivências de um personagem típico regional, o joaquinense. Tal artigo é baseado em dados de trabalho de campo em curso sobre a identidade regional na Serra Catarinense, bem como nas reflexões empreendidas nesse contexto. Palavras chave: Paisagem. From national landscapes to the weather-world of the region: topics in construction of regional identity in the Serra Catarinense Abstract The typical landscape is an important reference for the construction of national identity. However, there are specific life experiences, which regarded not simply as a relationship with the landscape, but as participation in a world in motion, a weather-world, can contribute to understanding the search for affirmation of regional specificities in the midst of a very globalized world. I analyze these issues from a particular situation, the occurrence of snow in the Serra Catarinense interpreted by the national media as an exotic landscape, and the experiences of a typical regional character, the joaquinense. This article is based on data from field work in progress on regional identity in the Serra Catarinense, as well as the reflections taken in that context. Keywords: Landscape. Weather-world.
