Resumo
Gifted education programs typically underrepresent children fron minority and lowincome backgrouds. Uncommon screening measures were used to ideify an equity sampe of 68 potentially gifted youngsters who would participate in a sunwnerinstiuie. he instrudon offered to these preschool and prinary grade students was a ed bya karning conponentfortheirparents. A common and &fferentiated curricuin wa developed for Anglo and Hispanic parents based on their expressed tions regarding child development. Findings show that schools can serve commuitis better when opporuitiesfor growth are prvided to parents as well as their children.
