The impossible as matter of thought and action” is an interview conducted in late 2020 by Elilson with Eleonora Fabião. In the context of the ongoing dismantling of democracy in Brazil, they dialogue about performance art on the streets, articulations between artistic experimentation, political imagination and social action, and the concept of “performative program”, a deprograming compositional procedure as proposed by Fabião. In order to create propositive rather than reactive modes of dealing with the colonial heritage and the rising of fascism in contemporary Brazil, aesthetical-political experimentation is considered crucial
