The aim of this comment on labor relations in the construction industry is to sound a note of warning for researchers in labor problems interested in the construction trades. Studies of the industry and actual labor relations practice, according to the author, have tended to ignore the significant economic differences which exist between residential construction and other phases of the construction industry. The consequence has been serious defects in recommendations concerning labor policies for the industry. (Author's abstract courtesy EBSCO.)
