L'A. porte son attention sur les relations entre les sexes. Il se demande si celles-ci doivent etre envisagees sous l'angle de la division ou sous celui de la comparaison. Il analyse la notion de division, de reproduction puis celle de comparaison. Il examine la situation des sexes au sein des pays developpes dans la periode actuelle et s'efforce de voir en quoi les relations entre les sexes sont marquees par des processus de reproduction et de fragmentation
