The paper deals with the cultural participation of migrants from Ukraine who have decided to live in Poland. We place this issue in the broader theoretical context of urban citizenship, which includes, among other things, the component of migrants’ integration into urban daily life in various ways and areas, one of which is culture. As an empirical exemplification, we selected Wrocław, which is a city with a multicultural image. Based on quantitative research and qualitative research carried out in Wrocław, the article discusses the participation of Ukrainian residents of Wrocław in the area related to culture, which involves undertaking certain activities and demonstrating possible readiness to undertake them, as well as the barriers that appear in this process. We discuss these activities using a broad definition of culture, assuming that it encompasses diverse activities, is not exclusively inscribed in the area of institutionalised practices, and is relational in nature. The results allow us to conclude that although participation in culture is not the main need of life in exile for the Ukrainian migrants surveyed, it is one of the important elements that enhance the quality of life and promote integration
