This paper aims to explain neoliberal normativity and its relationship with eroticism. Its intends to consider some implicit norms of conduct of neoliberal rationality and discuss their impact on how we relate to pleasure and personal satisfaction. The structure of the analysis uses social narratives about work, the body and behavior, discussed in the light of psychoanalysis. It concludes that neoliberalism and conservatism promote the loss of singular erotic experience. The neoliberal and conservative discourses aim to regulate something of the libidinal economy of the subject and its potential for action
