Este estudo pretende analisar o conto "Famigerado", de Guimarães Rosa, à luz das Formas Simples, de André Jolles, e da psicanálise. O texto é lido como uma adivinha às avessas, invertendo as posições do inquiridor e do questionado. Tendo como fundo a modernização do sertão nos anos 60, o embate entre o letrado e o jagunço revela tensões e ambigüidades, abordadas pela estilística e pela psicanálise
