In this work a methodology to elaborate a bilingual database (Brazilian Portuguese French) is presented. This database shows lexicalgrammatical forms prototypical of the textual genre being studied: scientific articles. Based on the exploration of comparable corpora of articles within areas such as Linguistics, Economy, Engineering and Conservation of Cultural Assets, lexical combinations were collected. Those lexical combinations concern scientific doing or textual articulationexemplified here only in Brazilian Portuguese. That data collection was followed by a syntacticsemantic analysis which enabled an association of those units to rhetorical functions, considering their textual functionsbesides enabling the identification of collocational schemes. Thus, those units have enlightened the epistemology of the speech in scientific articles
