This article analyzes the literary text Castanha do Par (2018), by Gidalti Moura Jr.; it searches to ascertain the social imaginary of marginalized childhood present in the work, guided by the assumptions of Comparative Literature. The graphic novel tells about the character called Castanha, a vulture-boy that survives on the streets around Ver-o-Peso market in Belm of Par. The analysis is focused on three aspects of the work: childhood, social exclusion and zoomorphization; since they describe the character as a street child boy and they set the figurations of the city where Castanha runs across. It was observed the marginal condition of the boy as means of survival and the inefficiency of public policies to prevent these groups from being in situations of exclusion e violence
