The purpose of this article is to explore possible impacts of the expansion of evangelicalism in Brazil on aspects of the Army such as hierarchy, discipline, sociability, doctrine, and in relations with what the military calls the "civil world". For this, the research uses quantitative data related to the religion of the cadets of the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras (2002-2012) and the qualitative examination of the religious influence in the doctrine of the Escola Superior de Guerra (1974-2016). Exploratory conclusion points to more alignments than mismatches between military doctrine and evangelical religiosity
