This paper aims to explain an emerging tendency, called « new international division of scientific work ». The first part presents a historical review of the internationalization of sciences in Latin America, in order to show that, since the last quarter of XXth Century, we are facing a new configuration: if, until then, the links between “central” and “peripheral” scientists leaved to the latter little room to negotiate; it took from then on the form of a “closed contract”, that is to say “take it or leave it”. Thus, the more prestigious scientists from “non hegemonic” countries are growingly invited to take part of international consortia, but accessing conditions are growingly strict and the room to negotiate tends to zero. The second part illustrates this configuration through the presentation of three different cases in Argentina: the environmental research in Patagonia; the research in molecular biology on Chagas Disease; and plasma physics at the University of the Center of the Province of Buenos Aires
