Este artigo discute o processo de modernização nos governos Tasso Jereissati e Ciro Gomes, conhecidos como Governos das Mudanças, e sua relação com o campo cultural cearense. Ou, em outros termos, como a cultura política da modernização se configurou em política cultural que funcionasse como elemento de atualização e de distinção nesse campo. Abstract This paper discusses the modernization process during the Tasso Jereissati and Ciro Gomes administrations, known as the "Change Governments", and its relationships with the cultural fields of Ceara State. In other terms, it discusses how the political culture of modernization as configured into a cultural policy would act as an up-to-date and differentiation element in this field.
