Cat Hope and Lionel Marchetti first met in Australia in 2010, when Marchetti was touring his own work after liane Radigue was unable to undertake a tour of her own music, diffused by Marchetti, due to poor health. Impressed by the energy of both his music and its performance, Hope has stayed in close contact with Marchetti, commissioning works and collaborating with him on several co-authored compositions for the Decibel new music ensemble (Room 40; Decibel have performed Marchetti's own works as well as Radigue's
