Muitas respostas ao Teste das Vinte Sentenças (TST, Kuhn & McPartland, 1954), uma aplicação que reflete a descrição espontânea que os indivíduos fazem de si mesmos em resposta à pergunta Quem sou eu, são aparentemente semelhantes a traços de personalidade. Essas respostas foram classificadas livremente em respostas subconsensuais, idiocêntricas ou alocêntricas. Neste trabalho, as respostas de autoavaliação são categorizadas em termos de características ou demandas da interação, em contraste com os fatores do modelo de cinco fatores (McCrae & Costa, 1990). Os resultados mostram o ajuste das dimensões das respostas em aspectos de interação social. Da mesma forma, as respostas indicam estratégias de apresentação, o que resulta no uso majoritário de termos positivos. Assim, as respostas ao instrumento podem ser entendidas como uma espécie de tipificação pessoal da forma como nos relacionamos com as outras pessoas e com o mundo sócio-material. Por fim, os resultados são analisados por meio de variáveis sociodemográficas, apresentando nítidas diferenças por sexo, idade e escolaridade
