Le present article essaie de savoir si les sources litteraires et archeologiques qui appliquent des traits dionysiaques aux danses rituelles de Sparte correspondent a une pratique cultuelle reelle. En examinant l'acte de la danse comme une part integrale de la vie sociale et religieuse de Sparte et en mettant Dionysos au centre de la situation, cette etude cherche a elucider le lien entre cette danse et l'attitude de Sparte envers l'art dramatique en general. L'A. se concentre surtout sur le temoignage qui fait allusion aux danses rituelles dionysiaques, et en particulier menadiques, de la Sparte antique
