In the summer of 1964 I was able to inspect the inscription in the Palazzo dei Conservatori (Musei Capitolini), and found traces of letters which are not clearly visible in the photograph reproduced in 1.1.2 They occur in the second line of the entry where [CIT]ERI[OR.] has been restored. This restoration is made impossible by the fact that the following lettertraces are to be read in the fragment preserved
