This paper aims to discuss the process selective modernization of Brazilian agriculture over recent decades and analyze some forms of social-economic expropriation in the rural, the result of conservative state policy and forms of capitalist accumulation by dispossession. The industrialization of agriculture and the emergence of an increasingly scientific and globalized agriculture require a great external demand for rationality and complex relationship of rural with the urban-industrial sector. The agriculture becomes growing target corporate interests and the State maintains strong alliances with large landowners, national and transnational companies and with the financial capital to provide the capital accumulation mode in the rural. In this process, develop a rural development policy that favors the land market, the alienation/marginalization of peasants, mobility of the workforce and the increasing concentration and centralization of capital, resulting in increase of the social and regional inequalities on the Brazilian territory
