Cet article est base sur les constatations d'une etude de corpus sur l'anglais australien contemporain. L'A. explique que l'alternance dative (association entre les phrases a objet indirect et celles contenant les prepositions to et for) ne peut pas etre expliquer en faisant appelle seulement aux notions semantiques/pragmatiques telles que l'affectivite, l'objectivite-indirecte ou la distance iconique
