Abstract: This essay presents reflections with de aim of contributing to the discussion of behavior problems in elementary schools and middle schools, focusing on situations relating to postures and attitudes displayed by students It makes an initial characterization of contemporary societies, contrasting vision of some postmodern authors (Lyotard, Maffesoli and Bauman) to the analysis developed by Lipovetsky based on the concepts of hypermodernity and post-duty.
