N classical times, Greek wealth was largely derived from an economy extending far beyond the homeland. Extensive colonial and trading connections were essential supports of a high level of economic and artistic activity. In modern times, however, Greece has been forced to depend largely on her own limited and imperfectly ex)loited resources-primarily agricultural. The economy of modern Greece is undiversified, and exhibits many characteristics of an underdeveloped, foreigntrade-oriented country. Its basic features are as follows
Agricultural economics · Agriculture · Archaeology · Economics · Geography · Economic Growth and Productivity · Environmental Science · Land Rights and Reforms · World Systems and Global Transformations
