will restore France to her former position as a world power with traditional French individual freedom. Clearly, the answer to the problem of future greatness of France rests upon a combination of economic and political factors, some of which concern the French people themselves whereas others depend upon the part played by the Allied nations, both individually and collectively. This article deals primarily with the economic aspects of French postwar recovery. However, it is admitted that the turn of political events in France will materially affect its economic life.
