Research Article| September 01 2001 Women's world: A Transnational Network of Women Writers: The Targeting of Feminist Writers Meredith Tax Meredith Tax meredith tax, a writer and political activist, is President of Women's world, an international free speech network of women writers. Her children's book, Families, is published by the Feminist Press. Her history book, The Rising of the Women: Feminist Solidarity and Class Conflict, 1880–1917, and her two novels, Rivington Street and Union Square, will be republished by the University of Illinois Press in October, 2001.
