The first session of the Third International Russell Tribunal, this time on infringements of civil liberties in West Germany, was held March 25th to April 4th in Frankfurt. The international jury heard five days of public testimony about the practice of Berufsverbot (job ban), as its critics call it, a government program of loyalty checks which excludes radicals from government jobs as enemies of the constitution
