La révolution numérique a profondément modifié l'architecture des réseaux, mais aussi les activités économiques et les usages développés sur ces réseaux. Elle est à l'origine d'un changement important des thématiques traitées en économie dans ce domaine, mais aussi d'un renouvellement conceptuel dans l'analyse des réseaux. L'objectif de cet article est de décrire ce changement de paradigme d'un point de vue théorique et méthodologique. L'article propose par ailleurs de nouvelles orientations de recherche autour des modèles d'affaires et écosystèmes numériques, des impacts socio-économiques des services numériques et des politiques publiques
