Two unpublished gems take part of the Martin-Charpenel’s collection, educated lover who’s made a lot of archeological prospections in the area of Manosque, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The first gem in white agate from Roman period represents Aeneas fleeing the city of Troy carrying his father Anchise and holding his son Ascagne by the hand. This figure is identified in Gaul for the first time. The second gem in black jasper represents Athena or Roma. According to H. Guiraud, this gem would be a copy from a roman original from the medieval or modern period
