The Waldensians : Sources and Methods Studies devoted to Waldensian sources and to the evolution of research methods over the past ten years have broken little new ground. The few, rare publications of sources have shown it is possible to uncover new sources, a certain number of which have never been published. It is worth noting that often their existence has been revealed by researchers who are not Waldensian specialists. As far as methods are concerned, it is now clear that each source must be attentively situated in time and space if we are to have any hope of understanding it correctly, not to mention the fact that a single text can reveal a multi-layered composition
