A priori, the '' cooperating'' during the dawn of African independences have little to do with the officials of the France d'Outre-Mer (FOM), including the directors of the twilight period of colonization. There are, in fact, many continuities between these two forms of French presence overseas. This article distinguishes two categories of archetypes or '' tribes'', respectively officials and directors of the FOM at the end of the colonial period, and cooperating in the beginning of cooperation, before analyzing their differences and similarities
