Prispevek obravnava izbrana vprašanja v razvoju etnološke vede v Sloveniji in Srbiji v 20. stoletju: njune raziskovalne bližine in razlike, stike med institucijami in posamezniki. *** The presentation discusses selected issues in the disciplinary development of Slovenian and Serbian ethnology in the 20th century: their research proximities and differences, institutional ties, contacts between individual researchers. Parallel and divergent scholarly orientations are considered as a product of specific historical and social contexts and disciplinary traditions. Planned joint research projects during the second part of the 20th century and research challenges, connected with decades of life in the common state are commented
