Day to day adjustement. The former system of administrative provisions of city dwellers had its own logic and its advantages. By dismantling the system, the Military have upset the «food protectorate» enjoyed by public service workers. The resulting rise in speculation has led to price explosion and deepened social inequalities in Conakry, where many households are barely surviving
