Abstract This paper recovers the contemporary debate about politics and post-truth to stress the problem of "political truth" in its relation to the question of power and the constitution of public space in some Michel Foucault and Hanna Arendt's works. In this sense, I should like to suggest that Foucault and Arendt's perspectives of power, politics and truth, despite their great differences, are important for understanding certain current aspects of "truth circulation" and to describe the profile of our contemporary strategies to control societies in a so-called "new" regime of truth. At the end of this paper, we seek to outline some general issues regarding the current relations between technoscience, politics and new media
