La reflexivite est une reponse au danger ego- et ethnocentrique. Bien qu'impossible a atteindre, le desinteret est demande chez les chercheurs en religion. La relation politique entre les experts et les laics, asymetrique et caracterisee par des conflits d'interets tacites, requiert une analyse reflexive. Confondre les voies personnelle et scientifique provoque des sanctions : une analyse reflexive permettrait de distinguer les croyances des informateurs, la connaissance scientifique, les croyances personnelles et l'ideologie professionnelle
