This article discusses the problem of the absence of indigenous women in the documentary sources and ethnological studies from the Tikuna case in High Solimões region, Amazonas. We take as reference travelers, naturalists and scientists of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, as well as major ethnological studies on these people in the twentieth century to show why Tikuna women were almost silenced in history and ethnology of their people.Aiming to provide a counterpoint to this absence, we show the participation of women in social and political organization of Tikuna through a small ethnographic essay about the life and work of a fictional woman who prepares and sells her handicrafts in the Indigenous Area of San Antonio, Benjamin Constant city.Through this paper, we present some physical and cultural aspects of Tikuna women memory, whose quiet work and ongoing contribution to the broader political struggles of their people, as the guarantee of their land, education and health as differentiated constitutional rights established
