The objective of the presente article is to do considerations about the gothic, in the A feiticeira and Acauã, published on Contos Amazônicos of the Inglês de Sousa, in 1893.The book was aclameted as realistic-naturalistic, however, for these short stories, objects of this study, let us consider a rupture in the context of this critical, because exist a lot of romantic esthetics's aspects
