L'A. revient sur le role politique du mouvement Hindutva dans la societe indienne. Pour les specialistes, il est necessaire d'aller au-dela de la simple description ou de la conceptualisation weberienne pour rendre compte de l'action de ce mouvement dans la vie politique, sociale et religieuse du pays. Le scientifique qui aborde le mouvement Hindutva ne peut faire l'economie d'un jugement sur les methodes employees. Hindutva represente une reelle menace pour l'avenir des minorites en Inde. La defense de la laicite apparait comme une necessite pour tous les chercheurs
